We combine the latest evidence based practice with the latest technology. We were the first practice in Australia to use the Willow Wood Omega 3D scanner and carver. We now combine this with slow motion video gait analysis, and North Queensland’s first Otto Bock L.A.S.A.R Posture for the perfect and repeatable Prosthetic alignment. L.A.S.A.R Posture uses a laser beam to quickly and precisely determine the centre of balance that is then used to fine tune the alignment of the prosthesis.
Our clinicians are all university graduates from LaTrobe’s National Centre for Prosthetics and Orthotics (NCPO) in Melbourne and Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist (CPO) with the Australian Orthotic and Prosthetic Association. SSS clinical staff and technicians have completed the latest Otto Bock Academy courses to ensure that our service includes the most modern materials science and best technologies available to suit the needs of the amputee.
