Prosthetics

We were the first practice in Australia to use the Willow Wood Omega 3D scanner and carver. We now combine this with slow motion video gait analysis, and North Queensland’s first Otto Bock L.A.S.A.R PostureM for the perfect and repeatable Prosthetic alignment.

Orthotics

SSS Orthotists provide a unique approach to Orthotic Management of the foot and ankle. With our in-depth knowledge of biomechanics, evidence based practice and technical skills; we achieve great outcomes for patients with all lower limb pathologies.

Orthopaedic Braces

SSS manufactures all its own custom orthotics. Our Orthotists and Technicians use the latest in Computer Aided Technology (CAD CAM), materials, and techniques to provide the highest standard of custom orthoses. We provide a walk-in service for acute injury orthopaedic bracing, custom fit in our clinic.

At SSS Prosthetics and Orthotics we work closely with patients and other clinicians, aiming to maximise the function for people with disability and/or injury. We believe that our level of care directly impacts the quality and effectiveness of our work and our ability to meet patient requirements

SSS Prosthetics and Orthotics provides orthotic and prosthetic management in Queensland from Mackay, to Mount Isa and the Torres Strait. Our Clinical and technical staff provide expert management in the areas of Orthopaedics, Neurological disorders, Paediatrics, Rheumatology, Paediatrics and general biomechanical disorders. Our Clinicians are registered with NDIA, QALS, private health funds, MASS, DVA and WorkCover. We are also registered suppliers of Medical Grade Footwear with MASS and DVA.
